Damers First School is inviting local residents and businesses to an Auction of Promises evening on Thursday 24 May, held at the school.
Tickets are on sale at Brace of Butchers, Finca Buttermarket, Symonds & Sampson and Parkers.
The auction event at 7pm will be raising money to purchase a Ridan food waste composter for the school. By composting all of their food waste, the school will be educating the children about the benefits of composting and recycling, saving money on bin collection costs as well as producing compost for their flourishing gardens!
Sarah Collins, chair of Damers First School PTA, said: “We already have some incredible promises that have been generously donated and are really looking forward to welcoming neighbours and local businesses to our new school for a great evening of fundraising!”
If you’d like to be in with a chance of winning one of the amazing lots, all kindly donated by the businesses and individuals listed, you need to enter a bid here with your maximum offer before noon on Tuesday 22 May – it’s free to place a bid and anonymous. (Please note – you will only be contacted if you are the highest bidder after the live auction on 24 May and you could be out-bid on the night.)
Tickets are £10 and include a welcome drink and canapes by local caterer Raspberry and Rhubarb.
This is an adult only event for parents/ carers and the wider community.
