This Saturday Pummery Square will be transformed for the annual Poundbury Square Dance.
Organised by resident Katie Gallego of Poundbury Wealth Management, the free event is a popular event for the community.
The square will come alive to music and dancing by the Up & Running Ceilidh Band.
The weather forecast is looking dry and this year the Poet Laureate will be running a barbeque, with burgers from nearby Brace of Butchers.
The event on Saturday 2 July will run from 6pm and is suitable for children over the age of 4 and all families, residents are welcome.
Organisers ask that people bring their own chairs and can bring food and drink if they wish.
The event is supported by the Poundbury Residents Association.
