Put your best foot forward to Ringhill Street from midday on Thursday for the opening of the latest branch of independent running shop, Running Free.
The original shop in Poole has a loyal following with the new Poundbury branch expected to be just as popular. The Poundbury launch will see special offers, gift ideas and 15% off until 8pm.
The store is a premium stockist of brands such as Asics, Saucony, Nike, Newton, New Balance, Inov8, Adidas and Under Armour. Running Free prides itself on excellent customer service, knowledge and love for the sport and all staff are experienced runners who love talking about it.
While running is a very simple sport for all ages and abilities there can be many issues with injuries. Thankfully, runners in Poundbury can be helped by solutions that can often be found with a proper analysis and review of you, how you run, where you run and what you run in.
As such Running Free offers a full GAIT Analysis service to all customers as standard, but will also help them through their first mile if taking up the sport and your last mile of a marathon if that’s where they end up.
Running Free owners Oliver and Tom White are both keen runners and are limbering up for life in Poundbury. The brothers told Celebrating Poundbury: “We’re super excited to be opening our second shop in Poundbury this week and looking forward to seeing all our customers living over there in Dorchester and Weymouth but also hoping to meet many more from even further afield. Many of our customers make considerable efforts to get to us in Poole from as far away as Gillingham and Somerset, so Poundbury seemed the perfect place for a second outlet to save on some of this mileage.”
They added: “The new shop is only a minute off the A35 in a truly beautiful neighbourhood in the centre of Poundbury by Queen Mother’s Square, which is developing fast and with masses of free parking so customers can fully indulge their passion for running gear without fear of a time limit or ticket. Not to mention enjoy what we believe is a pretty decent cup of free coffee while you do so!”
